A total of 14 out of 62 graduates received their Ph.D. degrees and marched for the UP Asian Center and TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies Program recognition ceremonies last Sunday, 30 July 2023, 2:00 pm, at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center Auditorium, University of the Philippines Diliman with the theme, Sandiwaan: Interconnections. National Artist for Music, Dr. Ramon P. Santos, Professor Emeritus at the UP Diliman College of Music, was the commencement speaker and guest of honor.
The TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies Program and the UP Asian Center will be holding their joint Recognition Ceremonies on 30 July 2023, 2:00 pm, Philippine Standard Time (GMT+8), at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center Auditorium. The on-site event is exclusive to graduates and their guests.
Rusell Irene L. Lagunsad, TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies Program student was awarded the 2023 Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mag-aaral, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded to UP Diliman students for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions to their respective fields. The awarding ceremony was held on 23 June 2023, 2:00 pm, PHT, at the University Theatre, UP Diliman.
The Tri-College PhD Philippine Studies Program, University of the Philippines Diliman is now accepting applications for the August/September intake (First semester, Academic Year 2023–2024).
The UP Asian Center will be holding a lecture and book launch, “Toyota in the Philippines: 30 Years and Beyond in Nation-building," on 17 December 2020, 2–4 pm (Philippine time) via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public, but participants must have an authenticated Zoom account (sign-in required).
